Quality Checkpoints We Recommend for Outdoor Programs
- Visual: no dirt, blistering, scratches, watermarks, or bare spots.
- Color difference: total ΔE ≤ 1.0 (batch consistency reference).
- Adhesion: Grade 0 (no peeling) via cross-hatch + tape method.
- Film thickness: 20–25 μm (reference window; confirm per specification).
Design Notes for E-Coated Outdoor Frames (DFM)
- Drainage and vent holes: enable complete chemical exchange and reduce trapped solution in tubes.
- Avoid blind cavities where possible; if unavoidable, design venting to minimize carryover.
- Weld finishing: stable weld beads reduce sharp edges and help coating continuity.
- Handling points: define non-cosmetic contact points for hanging/fixtures to avoid visible marks.
